What is the Chipmunk Fund?
The Chipmunk Fund is Chesterbrook PTA’s direct donation fundraiser (formerly called Friends of Chesterbrook). Where FCPS funding ends, Chesterbrook families chip in! The Chipmunk Fund is the most efficient and effective way to give to our school. Families can spend less time fundraising and more time learning and having fun! Plus, your contribution is tax-deductible.
Last year, Chesterbrook families contributed an average of $175. We understand some families will be able to give more and others less. Every donation, large or small, adds up to make a big difference.
Where does the money go?
Through the Chipmunk Fund and other fundraisers, the PTA supports additional academic enrichment and resources, teacher training, staff development, technology and campus upgrades (such as laptops, playground and classroom equipment), assemblies and field trips (including the 5th grade Jamestown field trip, 3rd grade GRECO day, and 4th grade Colonial day).
What is our goal?
Our goal is to raise $30,000 this year with 100% participation!
- Classes with 80% or more participation* get a popsicle party!
- Classes with 100% participation get a popsicle party PLUS class spirit day!
*A donation counts for all students in a family.
DONATE online below OR - Mail a Check by simply completing the Chipmunk Fund Donation Form and mailing it along with your check payable to “Chesterbrook PTA” to the school 1753 Kirby Road McLean, VA 22101 Attn: Chipmunk Fund.
Donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law. You will receive notification of your charitable donation for tax purposes. Chesterbrook PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (tax ID #54-1268479).
